1. Acceptance of these Terms
Welcome to Fotography.gg ("the Site", "we", "us"). Fotography.gg is a fan-made community platform for sharing photography created in the Forza Horizon series' in-game photo mode. By creating an account, uploading content, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf. We may suspend or close accounts that we reasonably believe belong to users under 13.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account and everything that happens under it. That means:
- Keeping your login credentials secure and not sharing your account with others.
- Providing accurate information at signup and keeping it current.
- Notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may not impersonate another person or photographer, register misleading handles, or create accounts for the purpose of evading a suspension.
4. Your content and the license you grant us
You own your photos. Uploading to Fotography.gg does not transfer ownership of your work to us — copyright in your captures and edits remains entirely yours.
So that the Site can function, you grant Fotography.gg a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, resize, crop for thumbnails, compress, and distribute your uploaded content on the platform and in connection with it — including in search results, galleries, challenge pages, link previews (e.g. when a photo page is shared on social media or Discord), and embeds you or others generate using the Site's embed feature. This license exists only to operate and promote the platform; we will not sell your photos or license them to third parties for unrelated commercial use.
This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except where your content has already been shared through the platform's normal features (e.g. a cached link preview) or where retention is required for legal or moderation purposes.
By uploading, you confirm that the content is your own Forza Horizon photo-mode capture, that you have the right to post it, and that it complies with our Community Guidelines.
Optional AI image tagging (updated September 14, 2026)
AI image tagging is not required to upload or publish content. It is off by default, and manual tags remain available without AI. Enabling AI image tagging and pressing Scan for tags authorizes the selected photo's thumbnail (or an available larger image where necessary) to be processed by Base44's AI integration and its service providers to generate descriptive tags. Switching the toggle on by itself does not request a scan. The choice resets for each upload session or tag-editor visit.
Suggestions may be inaccurate and must be reviewed by the photographer; they do not change image ownership or edit the photo. Saving tags uses basic non-AI text checks, and all tags remain subject to the Community Guidelines. Only tags for public, published FH6 images enter the Browse registry.
Provider training and retention terms apply, and we do not guarantee that scanned images are never retained or used for training. See the Privacy Policy for the data sent, known limitations, earlier automatic processing, and your choices. Turning AI tagging off stops new scan requests, not processing already performed. Existing tags can be removed in Edit image tags and saved; removal cannot undo earlier provider processing. Declining AI tagging does not prevent normal uploads or manual tagging.
5. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Upload content you did not create, or pass off another photographer's work as your own.
- Upload content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise violates the Community Guidelines.
- Manipulate engagement — including vote rings, bot likes, fake accounts, or coordinated voting in challenges.
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content or user data from the Site.
- Interfere with the Site's operation, attempt to bypass access controls, or probe for vulnerabilities.
- Use the Site to spam, advertise unrelated products, or distribute malware.
6. Moderation, content removal, and termination
We may remove any content and restrict, suspend, or terminate any account at our discretion, particularly where we believe these Terms or the Community Guidelines have been violated. Our general consequences ladder is described in the Community Guidelines (content removal → warning → upload suspension → account termination), but we reserve the right to skip steps for severe violations such as stolen work, hate speech, or illegal content.
Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination. Accounts with multiple validated copyright takedowns are terminated under our repeat-infringer policy (see the Takedown / Copyright Policy).
You may delete your own content at any time and may request deletion of your account and associated personal data (see the Privacy Policy).
7. The Site is provided "as is"
Fotography.gg is a free, fan-made community project. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will be preserved indefinitely. Keep your own backups of your original captures.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fotography.gg and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months (currently zero — the Site is free) or USD $50.
9. Non-affiliation
Fotography.gg is a fan-made community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Microsoft, Xbox, Playground Games, Turn 10 Studios, or the Forza franchise. All game content and trademarks are property of their respective owners.
10. Marketplace
The Site includes an optional Marketplace where approved photographers can list creative services (such as livery showcase shoots, car portraits, and event coverage) and members can contact them through on-site messages. The Marketplace is a discovery and contact service only: we do not process, hold, or guarantee any payment, we are not a party to any arrangement made between users, and any exchange — free or paid — happens directly between the users involved, entirely at their own risk. Use of the Marketplace is additionally governed by the Marketplace Terms, which form part of these Terms for anyone using Marketplace features.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will give notice — for example via a site banner or notification — and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the Site and, if you wish, request account deletion.
